Wordless Wednesday! Guess who/what is this ?!

.

Edited to add in the evening: Kavita, Bikram and Shail have guessed it right! This is a small frog. We call it 'Thaerai' in Tamil!

For the past 3 days, I saw this frog sitting inside the cup (same cup!) in the morning. I used to hold a cloth to cover the cup in my left hand, lift it from the hook, take it to the backyard and throw the frog out! I was really scared and felt sick, doing this job! I found the frog at the same place, the next morning too...for the next 3 days and I had this job of throwing it out in the morning! Yesterday I threw it into my neighbour's compound...(how mean, you might think...I was!) and voila...I didn't see it since today morning! It might have forgotten the route to come back!

It is a FROG :)

Shail said...

Is it a tree frog?? OMG I am scared of them :S

cant guess but very curious to know:)

kavita: You are right, Kavita!

Bikram: It must have come through the kitchen window. The house is built quite high from the ground level and we have netlons in the window too! Our cats push the netlon and come inside. The frog might have come through that passage, I guess!

Shail: I am scared of them too, Shail! It was disgusting to see it inside the tea cup in the morning! I scrubbed the cup so many times before hanging it back, but it was there again...inside the same cup everyday!

Renu: You got the answer!

You know, when I was in college, a frog used to regularly visit my friend's room in hostel. Daily she would shoo it out and promptly next day it would be back. We used to joke that maybe she should kiss it - it could well be her prince!!

Sandhya said...

Ramesh: Let me ask her/him, when he/she visits again, Ramesh!

Varunavi: No idea, Saritha!

Deepa: That must have been fun for you girls!

Sandhya, I was wondering if it was a frog -but thought that I frog would not be able to reach such a place! I was clearly mistaken :)And it seems to have taken a liking to that cup :)

So, frog can remember the same cup and come back too! Long time since I saw a frog near our place! Maybe because we don't have a garden now!

KParthasarathy: Hahaha...thank god, she doesn't know the frog story, yet!

Swaram: Eeeeeks? Yes, Swaram!

wordsndreamz: Discussion is still going on at home, even now, with coffee tumblers (not that cup!) in our hands in the morning...wondering how it would have gone there! I think hereafter, every morning I would be checking that cup for that frog, at least for some days, Smitha!

Destination Infinity: This is not the first instance, D.I. In our previous house, every morning I used to see one small frog in our kitchen sink, sitting in the same corner everyday! We used to throw it out, but the next day, I used to see it at the same place! Funny! But disgusting too!

Not a guess any more

Sandhyaji, you didn't get the message. All it wanted was a cup of filter coffee. You should have offered it one... instead of throwing it into your neighbour's compound. It's no longer 'neighbour's envy owners pride' ;)

Sandhya said...

BK Chowla: Yes, Chowlaji...the thrill is gone!

Roshmi Sinha: Haha...I have noticed, your angle of thinking is always different, Roshmi!

Maybe it was asking for a cup of filter coffee or it wanted to become a pet in our house...our cats must have hinted how they are pampered here!

Anonymous said...

wow how did it find it's way so accurately?! Very interesting :)

Anonymous said...

its* way

UmaS said...

LOL !!! U threw it in ur neighbour's side ????? ;)

I am late for the guessing game... :(

ROFL! How clever of you Sandhya :-) Ha ha!!! I have to meet you on my next visit to Chennai. Please, pretty please, spare one afternoon for me OK? Thanks :-)

Sandhya said...

evanescentthoughts: I had some guest at home and all of us are wondering how it landed there consecutively for three days!

UmaS: Yesssss, Uma! I checked if anyone was watching me throwing something into the next compound. No one has asked me about it until now, thank god!

writerzblock: Sure, Pallavi, come home, we can have fun!
