Beautiful capture. Amazing earthy colors & design on the wings provide a natural camouflage. I am truly wordless !

RAHUL BHATIA: Rahul Bhatia has left a new comment on your post "Wordless Wednesday!":

Nice pictures!

A couple of posts earlier, Kavita's comment didn't get published here though I got the email. Something is wrong with 'google', I think. Now, Mr.Bhatia's was the first comment. But it is not getting published! So, I 'copy pasted' it! Thank you Mr.Rahul Bhatia!

R.RAMAKRISHNAN: Thank you, Mr.Ramakrishnan! Yes, what you say is right!

BIKRAMJIT: Yes, it is, Bikram!

A: Thank you, Amrit!

Lovely pics! A work of Art by Mother Nature!

And did you climb on the roof to take these photos?!!

Is it its natural colour or is there a camouflage here? Nature's wonders mingling with human wonders! The optical zoom has been useful to take the second shot, I believe...

To me it looks like a scene from a fantasy - a beautiful giant butterfly ready to take off from a specked rocky mountain.

SWARAM: Thank you, Swaram!

RADHA: Thank you, Radha!

ASHOK: The building is a very old one where we stayed during our trip to Munnar, recently (post will follow!). We were strolling outside the bungalow, savouring the surrounding views and came across this butterfly! Then, I did what a blogger does when she sees a material for her post! Thank you, Ashok!

MANJU JOGLEKAR: Yes, it blended with the surrounding beautifully!

Maybe I would have done that too to catch hold of the picture of the butterfly! The other one (long shot) was taken by son. He gave the idea to post both the pictures, so the real effect would be visible!

DESTINATION INFINITY: The close up shot was taken from an Olympus digital camera. The long shot was taken by Nikon! The old roof is giving the best effect, I think! The place was Munnar!

HITCHWRITER: Thank you, Dhiren!

KAVITA: Good imagination, Kavita! The butterfly looks so unreal!

They taught us
in Butterfly school
to daintily flit
amidst the green
and the flowers,
imbibing
the nectars
and flavors of Life.

Some of us went
for higher studies,
winging our way
across walls and tiles,
braving difficult winds.

I have great designs,
(in life, that is) :-)
and as anyone
in power will tell you,
Life is pretty
tough,
drab,
grey,
and lonely
at the top.

I don't have
the garden colors
and the green
around me,
but what the heck,
the Sky's the Limit now !

Sandhya said...

UGICH KONITARI: Beautiful imagination, Suranga!

Yes, the sky is the limit! Everything is in our mind!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Till I read that you used a powerful camera, I thought you climbed the roof to click that pic. And was full of admiration of your dedication to photography as an art!! :))) Just kidding. Nice photos.

MUHAMMAD ISRAR: Thank you, Muhammad Israr!

SHAIL: Thank you, Shail!

DEEPSSPEAKINGUP: Yes, the colour is blending well with the surroundings! Thank you, Deeps!

Very nice pic... I am not able to capture such a clear shot of butterfly till now..

If the butterfly was little bit closer, the pic would have been a classic.. :)

The pictures in the last post also really good. The nests just reminded me of the nests shown in discovery channel where the whole tree is covered by nests and there are many openings for birds to go in and come out :)

Also the way you described, want me to visit the place.. :)

Wow wow and wow!!! What a marvellous shot! Quite unique a colour, both the butterfly and the back ground.

KANAGU: I click them when they sit and drink nectar from the flowers! Here, this butterfly was sitting in the same position for hours together without moving!

Yes, I know, it would have been a classic!

Please do, you will enjoy this place, Kanagu. It is not far away too!

RUPREKHA: Yes, Ruprekha! Thank you!

JIDHU JOSE: Thank you, Jidhu Jose!

KRISHNA: Thank you, Krishna!
