Cool picture maami! Fort Kochi is a very historically relevant place. The Synagogue there is very beautiful. Loved it!

I have often wondered how enthusiastically the Britishers and others had taken to the sea! I guess initially they didn't even know where they were going. I wonder if it is economics or adventure that keeps them on the sea! If there is a choice, I would happily stay on the land :)

Destination Infinity

PS: Cochin is one unexplored place for me... I need to accommodate it somehow!

Swaram: We went to Ernakulam to attend a weddin, just for two days! Went out for a few hours, so can't write many posts out of this tour! Neevu bachaavaadeeri!

Bikram: You had an adventurous school excursion, nice! This area smells very British!

varunavis: Thank you, Saritha!

Jidhu Jose: Thank you!

Aparna: Yes, the only thing is, we have to look for it!

Chandrika Shubham: Thank you!

Ashwini: Time shortage, the synagogue was closed when we went there!

This area has got lots of interesting places to visit, Ashwini!

sm: Thank you!

Destination Infinity: My husband never likes water...he hates boating!

The Britishers must have been very adventurous people and they tried to rule the whole world, hurting people on the way...

Whole Kerala is interesting...I haven't yet seen many places!

Radha: I have not seen India, yet, Radha! Now, my husband is interested in travelling and we have started going out of the house. Funny thing is, the long tour abroad was to visit our son! Now, we are planning to 'see' all corners of India!

Wow!

And 'Willingdon Island' is named after Lord Willingdon?

Deepa said...

I think I've seen this one. Is it in Fort Cochin? Did you visit the Paradesh Synagogue? And the palace nearby?

Sandhya said...

Talha: Thank you, Talha!

IHM: I never knew that this island existed until I went and saw there!

Deepa: Yes, this is in Fort Cochin and I saw the palace but the synagogue was closed in the afternoon, so missed it!

That is so interesting, Sandhya!

What a strong looking anchor, and what a long career.
