Some pleasing songs...

This song is from yesterday's episode of Balika Vadhu, our favourite serial! The voice of Kailash Kher is so pleasing to the ears!

We watch Music ka maha muqabla often. Though we liked the other musical shows directed by Gajendra Singh (saregama, saregamapa...and others), this one resembles like an English rock show! We enjoyed the other shows better. Still some gems are coming out of this show too.

These two songs are sung by a new singer Rehmaan. The emotion he expresses in them are beautiful.

Anwesha sings 'Manmohanaa'. This young girl is going to go places. Here she is:

This is the toughest song sung by Rahul Vaidhya and Anwesha...an example of the high caliber of our budding singers.

This is a pleasant surprise, watching these young people singing pure classical based songs, so nicely. Now, you enjoy this! My next post will be about the baby kittens and their antics!

Some gems there Sandhya .. can't open youtube here in office .. which is the first one? kesariya Balam?

I agree there's maha drama in this maha muqabla. But, as u say, some gr8 music sometimes. Anwesha is a wonderful singer. This girl will go heights if she continues this way since she is just 15 still :)

I am waitinggg for the next cute post :)

As for songs, I just can't get enuf of Kavita Seth who hs sung Iktara .. its been my current fav for a long time nw :)

Wow! They are lovely songs! I had not heard them before.

Your posts are always so informative!

And am dying to hear about the kittens!

Ramesh: Nallaa irukken, veettil!! Thank you.

Swaram: yes, I know that you cannot watch the videos from your office. 'Aoji' is the song. In Shivkumar Sharma's post I had mentioned 'kesariya' and Aishwarya sang the song. She is a very good singer. Anwesha and Aishwarya participated together in some 'chote ustaad' or some musical show. Both are good.

Haha..maha drama in maha muqabla...you are right. My husband doesn't like this show because of that. I too lose patience sometimes and switch off.

Yes, Kavitha Seth is too good.

Kavita: All the songs of Kailash are slow and melodious.

I am watching this show just for these singers. But you have to tolerate too much drama. The judges hurl abuses at each other which is not good at all, esp. Himesh Reshammiya.

Smitha: This song of Kailash Kher comes in the background often in this serial. It is so soft for the ears.

Rehmaan comes from a very ordinary background but got the BIG break now, thanks to Shreya in this show.

Started feeding milk in ink filler now to the three little kittens! So I am very very busy!

Ya Sandhya .. Chote Ustaad ws really gud. I used to like Jayanth a lot :)

Swaram: So many young children are singing so well nowadays. They must have done lot of riyaaz for coming to this level.

Chote ustaad, saregama li'l champs..so many programmes and so many new budding singers...Abhigyan, Prateeksha, Baby (!) Swarit, Hemant...the list goes on. But Gajendra Singh started this prog. with Sonu Nigam and those series were the best...no talking, just singing. Sonu was 'pire chooing' 100 times to the judges in each episode. I have written about it too in 'saregama' post.

U r rt Sandhya .. there's too much of drama. The old SaReGaMa topped the charts only bcoz of the quality if music. Wish they go bk to those days again :(

Swaram: Too much commercialisation now. Now watching Vijay TV. Hearing very good tamil songs from small children. 'Super singer, Junior' prog.

I love watching these realty music shows. This show has great singers but Himesh Reshamiya ( did I get the name right?) is rather a pain and seems awfully biased. Or are these acts according to script... for the effect?

I was also thinking about it yesterday..our folk songs, all of them sound so sweet and musical.

Kailesh Kher is my favourite singer.

Radha: Yes, too much drama in MMMK show. Though they might need it to hike the TRP ratings. But will people like Shaan get angry or show it in public that easily? I doubt it, Radha.

Renu: Yes, Renu. Did you hear Rehmaan's songs? He is not yet famous, but will be, very soon.

BK Chowla: Our young new singers sing his songs a lot in reality shows. That is how I got familiar with his voice. Now, I have got some of his songs in my PC, Chowlaji.

Rehmaan's voice is also very soulful. Did you hear it?

This girl - Anwesha is a brilliant singer... she can sing low pitched as well as high pitched songs brilliantly! Wonder how they are able to sing classical songs so beautifully! THe only problems with shows like those are - there is a lot of drama which is totally unnecessary! Anyways good that our musical traditions are being carried forward.

Destination Infinity: This girl Anwesha is just 15 years old. The way she sings with Rahul Vaidhya, is brilliant. I have a feeling that he was a bit nervous! She was thoroughly enjoying the song - the song is so tough to singh. 100% concentration and riyaaz is needed to sing such songs.

I too hate the drama in these shows.
