I saw two pairs of these birds yesterday morning. They were happily flying from one tree to another. All of them were shouting in different tones but it was so pleasant to the ears! After some 10 mts. some crows came and shooed them off. These crows never let any birds come into their area. I felt very sad for these birds, Rufous Treepie. But I got a nice photo! I had clicked them sometime back when they were sitting on a different tree. Here it is.

Pictures are beautiful..I really don't understand birds...Unless,it is bird watching
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be so much drama happening on the trees near your house maami! Those crows were shooing away the other crows also, I remember. I wonder why!
ReplyDeleteBK CHOWLA: Here, in my new flat, I see many trees and lots of crows. Sometimes I see other birds too. It is visible from my kitchen window and balcony window. I have to watch them! Otherwise I am not a serious 'bird watcher'. I love everything in nature, I think!
ReplyDeleteASHWINI SRIRAM: They fight with each other too! One couple were collecting twigs for building nest but one stranger crow was coming and stealing them in front of my eyes...the couple ferociously shouted and shoved him off!
But poor things, all the twigs fell off in a strong wind. I don't see them anymore! They had collected around 20 twigs on two branches...
Very nice pic, Sandhya!
