  1. You seem to have a nice garden though not visible fully.Your house must be rat-proof with a vigilant cat around. What is that pigeon doing within the house?

  2. KPARTHSARATHY: It was a nice garden earlier. Now, the water has become a bit salty. Still, it is OK!

Phoof, rat proof? This Goalie brings the baby rats inside the house and plays with them! I don't go near the rats, wait for the maid to come and throw the half dead rat out. I am good at catching baby squirrels and leaving them near the neem tree where many many squirrels keep playing! I throw a towel on them and catch...kozhi pidikka kaththundaachchu!

Goalie loves to sit near the backyard door and WATCH! That day, she brought this pigeon at night! In the morning we heard the fluttering sound in the study. This bird was flying here and there and Goalie was not hurting that bird but playing 'fly and catch'. Then my husband brought her out. I went in with a towel, closing the door behind me, though I was a bit scared. Somehow I caught the bird and sent her out through the window.

Goalie was 'crying' for sometime! But we were happy!

This is the story of Goalie and the baby bird!

  4. Cat among a piegon? :-). Pigeons these days are more common than sparrows as birds around houses thanks to the flat complexes. BTW what do you feed your cats? They look really cute and chubby!

  6. You can catch squirrels? That takes quite a bit of talent, I guess! Golie seems to be one mischievous cat. I am sure the cat is keeping you busy throughout the day... :)

  7. BIKRAM; Most of the time, she brings them in, just to play with them!

MEERATALES: Welcome to my blog, Meera!

We live in the outskirts and so we get to see many birds...don't know for how long, though!

Goalie is very fond of curd rice! Well...she takes care of her other foods!

DESTINATION INFINITY: They are babies, but they are capable of biting us! Yes, I get tensed up a bit, but feel sad if they die because of Goalie's tossing them here and there, in front of our eyes!

All of us try to rescue the birds and animals! Sometimes, it is tough, yes!

VARUNAVI: You might be right! She wails for sometime, when we take her playmate outside!

Yes, I have a small garden here! Thanks for the comments! Take care.

BK CHOWLA: Chowlaji, the pigeon was brought home by our cat Goalie. It was terrified. I had to keep the cat away and send the bird out! Our cat needs something to play all the time!

RENU: Our whole family loves animals...any animal will do!

  13. Your Goalie is like our dog! Once a baby bird hopped inside out house and this dog just sat and stared at it out of curiosity. No attempt to hurt!!

  15. SHAIL: Yes, I know! Most of the time they are alive and we do our best to send them out!

IHM: Our animals are soft-natured...they just want to play with them!

KANAGU: She is a mischievous cat! We have got a Santhoshimata temple in the next street. They feed corn to them. So our whole area is full of pigeons! This was the first time she caught such a big bird and brought home! It was flying here and there in our study room and Goalie was jumping to catch the bird and wait again for that bird to fly, so that she could jump!

Where is the post...read in the tune 'where is the party?'!
