New arrivals at home - kittens! And all are black silk bundles!

We have a male black cat at home, which is around 3 years. Some days back, a new cat, which too is black, started coming into our compound and we noticed both of them lazing around quietly under our neem tree. Sometimes it used to come inside and eat the leftover cat food. When her stomach started bulging out, we knew it is a she. She was coming here from a house opposite to our house. We guessed a couple of weeks back that she had delivered the kittens and they must have been in the house opposite. Two days back, she started bringing them home through our window, one by one, pushing the netlon.

Now we are entertained by the three cute little kittens and their mother - all are black. She is taking care of them so nicely and now we have started feeding the mother cat also with cat food. Let us enjoy them at present and think about looking for homes for them later - 4 cats at home in a few weeks! Mind boggling!!!!

  1. We have distributed all the kittens of this lot. Demand is still there!

In the next lot, we have kept just one black kitten and sent the mother and others to somebody's house. They are happy over there. This kitten's name is E.T. (Extra Terrestrial!). She has got huge eyes and ears! She is 5 months old and we will have more kittens in a few months! Should look for good houses for them in 30-40 days after their birth. Then will have the mother operated, this time.

  3. wordsndreamz: You are missing something, Smitha. The way the kittens play...we can watch them 24 hours a day. Now, all are gone. Only one is at home.

  4. Sandhya kittens are adorable, and super entertaining when they are jumping over furniture and playing 'football'!!! Mother cats always take the kittens from one place to another...
