It's lovely!

How long will it stay like this without melting?

Sandhya said...

Manju: This was kept in my niece's wedding reception in London. In London weather, it was still nearly in shape even at around 1.30 night. The thinner area, the neck, started melting first after that, I was told.

It is a very original idea, must be from the catering company.

beautiful..in north in wintermarriage, there are always some ice sculptures and they make beautiful animals flowers etc.

I guess they must be having some sort of mold where they could fill up with water and freeze it. Or, are they sculpting it like how it needs to be done in stone??

Reminds me of a famous saying. I'll suitably customise it though: One who is made of glass... should not throw stones at others. What?!

Sandhya said...

BK Chowla: The flower arrangement and this peacock was done by my niece's friend, who is in this line. So it had personal touch, Chowlaji!

sm: Thank you!

Renu: Is it? I thought ice sculptures are new to us, here.

Destination Infinity: As you said, it must be from a mould.

I have seen a programme in Discovery Channel, where they showed ice sculptures - an exhibition of ice sculptures. Is it in Switzerland, I don't remember. They do it every year during winter time, it seems.

Roshmi sinha: I always admire the way your thoughts roam in a different way, Roshmi! Haha, very true!
